Master of Arts (M.A.) Courses under Gauhati University Centre for Distance and Online Education (GUCDOE), Gauhati University (formerly GUIDOL):

From the academic session 2004-05, distance learning courses under Gauhati University Institute for Distance and Open Learning (GUIDOL) was commenced at Madhab Choudhury College Study Centre. GUIDOL was renamed as Gauhati University Centre for Distance and Online Education (GUCDOE) as per the Academic Council meeting dated 13.05.2023 and subsequent ratification in the Executive Council meeting dated 26.05.2023, and the same was notified by the Office of the Registrar, Gauhati University.

Currently learners can pursue the M.A. in Assamese, Education, English and Political Science under semester system. The course fee is Rs. 5000/ per semester and learners can take admission twice a year, usually in the month of January and July, as notified by GUCDOE.

Dr. Prakash Sarma, principal of Madhab Choudhury College is the Centre -in-Charge and Dr. Roman Borgohain, HoD & Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science is in charge of Centre Co-ordinator. Mr. Nabajyoti Ojah is performing the duty of Office Assistant of GUCDOE, Madhab Choudhury College Study Centre.
