The National Science Day 2026 was celebrated at Madhab Choudhury College on 28 February 2026 with great enthusiasm. The programme was organized by the IQAC of the college in collaboration with the Assam Physical Society to promote scientific awareness among students and to encourage interest in scientific research and innovation. On this occasion, an invited talk was delivered by Dr. Chitralekha Talukdar, Retired Associate Professor of Pub Kamrup College, Guwahati.

The District awareness meeting concerning the PC and PNDT Act was Organized by the District Family Welfare Bureau, Barpeta, Assam, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, Madhab Choudhury College, Barpeta, on 19th February 2026. The program addressed critical subjects including early marriage, gender discrimination, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and the provisions of the PC-PNDT Act. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Prakash Sarma, Principal, Madhab Choudhury College. Distinguished medical professionals Dr. Abdur Rashid Bhuyan, Pediatrician, I/C DIO Barpeta; Dr. Sushil Kr. Nath, Radiologist, Mandia Model Hospital; and Dr. Hussain Mohammad Shohail, Gynecologist, Mandia Model Hospital, delivered thoughtful talks related to the theme. Furthermore, Dr. Ajit Kr. Sarma, Additional Chief Medical & Health Officer (FW), Barpeta, highlighted the importance of the Act and its implications.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, an awareness programme was Organized

of the college to promote awareness on women’s rights and empowerment. The resource person, Nazma Siddique, Assistant Professor in Law, Barpeta Law College, delivered an insightful talk on the importance
of legal awareness and empowerment of women. Students, teachers, and staff members actively
