Bachelor Of Computer Application (BCA):-
The Computer Science Department of M.C. College conducts BCA regular course under CHOICE BASED CREDIT SYSTEM (CBCS) introduced by Gauhati University.
Admission Procedure:-(Regular Under Gauhati University)
Admission to the first semester will take place in the month of July and regular classes will start in the first week of August.
Course Duration:-The duration of the course is 3 years (6 Semesters).
Eligibility:-
- The applicant must pass H.S. or equivalent examination from any stream with Mathematics as one of the subject. The College may set cut—off marks whenever it seems to be reasonable or may hold admission test for the final selection of candidates. Students who are not from H.S. Science stream will have to take up a bridge course in addition to the normal courses in the lst semester.

Fees:-Rs. 10, 000 per semester

Admission to the first semester course shall take place twice in a year in the month of June and in the month of December. For the batch admitted on June, the 1st semester classes will start from 1st July and the 1st semester examination shall be completed by the middle of December. For the batch admitted on December, the 1st semester classes shall start from 1st January and the 1st semester examination shall be completed by the middle of June. The second semester classes and examinations will also follow the same pattern. Colleges that are not interested in running two semesters simultaneously may opt for admitting students once in a year either in June or in December.
Course Duration:-
The duration of the course is one year consisting of two Semesters.
Eligibility:-
A student with a bachelor’s degree of 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline is eligible for the course. However the colleges may have their own cut-off marks which they seem to be suitable for them and/or hold admission test for the final selection. As mentioned in the syllabus, preferably students having Mathematics at the Higher Secondary level be admitted to the course OR a special bridge course may be designed by the Colleges individually for students not having Mathematics at the Higher secondary level.
